Somehow this rather obscure album made it onto my ever-growing ‘wish list’ (amazon.com, half.com) – probably because I had read an intriguing review in a zine or catalog at some point.
You should also know that I add EVERYTHING that sounds even remotely interesting to my wish lists – and, thanks to SwapaCD.com, I’m finally getting caught up on some of these titles.
I couldn’t recall why this one was worth seeking out, and at first the spacey cover art (and band name) had me expecting it to be some sort of shoe-gaze instrumental disc.
But, no: as soon as the aggressive post-hardcore East Coast riffs kicked in, with rough semi-melodic vocals…I found myself thinking “wow, this stuff is kinda like Only Living Witness or Sam Black Church”
…so I looked at the back of the artwork insert, and sure enough: Boston, MA
If you like Only Living Witness, Miltown, Milligram, Sam Black Church, Shadows Fall, etc
then definitely up your cool factor & add this album to your library.
